Link Communications today unveils the TCB-iP2v. This new product will give customers of Verizon Wireless™ the ability to communicate with Land Mobile Radio networks using Verizon Wireless™ Push to Talk service. This new product allows large groups of mobile workers, including those in public safety, transportation and utilities the ability to communicate across previous network barriers. This helps ensure that critical communication is never jeopardized and allows customers to expand their LMR system to reach to the entire Verizon Wireless™ nationwide network currently serving 87.7 million customers. The additional coverage provided by the Verizon Wireless™ nationwide network provides an additional layer of reliability to the LMR radio system. By adding Verizon Wireless™ Push to Talk service to the traditional Land Mobile Radio system, agencies can effectively double the impact and effectiveness of the service. These customers get the reliability of the Verizon Wireless™ network along with a secure and efficient means of communicating with customers far beyond the normal reach of an LMR system. The TCB-iP2v will also allow Verizon Wireless customers to extend radio interoperability to IP and satellite radio based networks thus making it a complete solution to all communication barriers.<br />
The iP2v system includes the new LCD display LMR interface, Windows™ Graphical Interface Software, supports either a Motorola Adventure V750 or the Barrage V860 handsets”, and is housed in an industry standard 19” rack enclosure.
