Upcoming Product: IPR5000

The first member of the IPR family is the IPR5000 Mobile IP radio. It operates over cellular 3G/4G/LG*, satellite** or any IP network. Easy to read color LCD display with a resolution of 320x240 pixels. 10W integrated speaker for clear audio in loud environments. The IPR5000 is housed in a metal enclosure with a dynamic looking front operation console. The system includes a roof mounted antenna for cellular, GPS and WiFi.  An advanced GPS receiver is embedded that provides vehicle tracking, history and RF coverage mapping. To satisfy hands free requirements a rear mounted USB port is provided for a Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) Bluetooth radio supporting hands free PTT operation. The system features Least Cost Routing by automatically switching between WiFi, cellular and satellite for seamless coverage even when 3G coverage is unavailable. Includes Virtual Handset PC software, enabling communication between vehicle and a computer with Internet access.

Optionally the user can also install an APCO compliant Project 25 (P25) digital radio as an off-IP network radio. The reason a customer would need this option if they required a “normal” 2-way radio to communicate with other users who do not have an IP Radio, therefore this option enables the IPR-5000 to act like both an IP Radio and a conventional 2-way radio, all in one package.
