Managing users in TDS is simple and easy.
LinkTDS allows you to easily configure a user's username & password, as well as
a limited amount of personal information. You can also give privilaged
users administrative privilages to perform resource and user management.
The user toolbox gives you an easy way to sort,edit, add, & remove users.
You can get to the toolbox if you have administrative account privilages by
visiting Design->Users... in the main menu, or by pressing Ctrl+U.
To add new user to the LinkTDS system, simply press the add user button.

This will choose a random numbered username, and pop up the user editor.
As you can see from the image above, user 1060 was created. You will need
to change the username to something identifiable for the user you are creating.
The fields you need to specify are:
- Username - Tag the user will use to login.
- First Name - User's First Name
- Last Name - User's Last Name
- User Type - User's access level. You can select either "Standard" or "Administrator."
- Password - User's password.
As you can see, we creating standard user 'doej' with a 5 character password.
Press OK when finished, and the user will be registered with the LinkTDS system.
To remove a user, simply highlight the user in the user toolbox and press the
delete user button.

You will be asked to confirm the delete operation:
To edit a user, select the user you wish to edit in the User Toolbox, and press
the edit user button.
The edit user dialog will be shown, and any changes made will be
registered with LinkTDS. Simply press "Cancel" if you would like to return
without making changes. Note: If you are logged on as an
administrator, you
cannot change your user type. This is to protect you
from locking yourself out of the system, and ensures that a system administrator
always exists.
