
The Stream Select Widget is simple and lightweight, and gives users valuable information about receive and transmit activity, as well as the resources selected and patched status. This widget is designed to be simple and usable, without bombarding the operator with unneccesary information and control. The select button on the left has two "wavy" lines representing stream activity for the resource. They will light in various combinations based on current resource activity.

The widget is collapsed and disabled until we successfully establish communications with the endpoint. Once a connection is established, If we ever lose connection with the endpoint, the resource collapses and appears as pictured above.

Above we see the widget in its inactive, nonselected state. Notice that the select button is dark.

The select button and center background light when we select the resource. In this case, there are still no active patches, and no RX or TX activity is detected.

Above we see the RX activity indicator is lit. This means that we are currently receiving audio from the resource.

When we PTT a resource via the dispatch console, the TX Activity is lit as shown above.

In this case, we are both receiving audio on the resource, and transmitting on the resource at the same instant.

The background color change indicates that we are a member of a patch group. The color is determined by the associated patch color. It is also important to notice that the patch name appears directly to the left of the crosspatch button.
